Alphabets
An alphabet here is a set of letters read three ways: as a script, as numbers, and as the pieces later systems attach meanings to. Each page starts with the letters themselves — shape, name and value — and puts every other part of the study that uses a letter one link away.
The 22 Hebrew letters also serve as numerals, which is what gematria reads. Sefer Yetzirah divides them into 3 Mothers, 7 Doubles and 12 Simples, and later Zoharic, Lurianic and Hermetic systems read that division in different ways.
The alphabets
- Hebrew All 22 letters with their final forms, values and classes, and where each stands on both trees.
- Enochian Dee's twenty-one letters. They live in the Enochian section, which keeps his material apart from the Golden Dawn's reading of it.
- Symbols The signs of astrology, alchemy and geomancy, drawn from their Unicode characters.
- Gematria Turn an English word into Hebrew, add up its letters, and find other words with the same total.
