The alphabet
Twenty-one letters, written right to left, set down in Dee's diary for 6 May 1583. They cover twenty-two English letters: Gon answers to both I and Y — the Y form carries a dot — and Van answers to U and V, which Dee's century treated as one letter. There is no letter for J, K or W.
