Correspondences
Correspondences are claims that two things — a planet and a metal, a sign and a body part, a sephirah and a divine name — share a quality or belong to the same symbolic pattern. Ceremonial magic uses them as a working grammar: they guide the choice of colour, incense, timing, image, name and ritual tool, and let several symbols speak as one operation.
Ancient astrology already linked heavenly bodies with gods, places, plants, stones and parts of the body; late antique and medieval writers carried such analogies through medicine, alchemy and astral magic. Renaissance compilers such as Agrippa gathered them into books, and the Golden Dawn later expanded them into closely joined systems. This site follows those layers without pretending every link is equally old.
