The life
He was interested in higher dimensions, recurrence and mysticism before meeting Gurdjieff, and continued to teach much of the system after the split. He died two years before the book that made his account internationally famous.
Place in the tradition
In Search of the Miraculous is probably the clearest systematic account of Gurdjieff's early teaching, and Gurdjieff himself approved its publication shortly before his own death.
