Agrippa connects Venus with affection, pleasure and attraction.
This page follows Agrippa's writings. For Venus in a birth chart, see the astrology page.
What Agrippa associates with Venus
Book I lists the qualities, plants, animals and materials he places under each planet.
Planetary nature in Agrippa
Agrippa connects Venus with affection, pleasure and attraction. His Venus list includes sweet tastes, pleasant scents, beautiful colours and things associated with fertility. Venereal images are meant to win favour and bring people together.
Summarized from Agrippa's account of the planet and the things he places under it.
Agrippa prints an intelligence's name alongside each square. He also gives a separate name for its spirit. The planetary angel below comes from another chapter.
Intelligence of the square
Hagiel
Printed at 49, the square's square cell count.

Agrippa also prints Bne Seraphim, a plural intelligence name, at 1252. Hagiel is the singular name at 49.
Angel over Venus
Book III gives two lists of angels over the planets. Here is the name in Agrippa's first list, followed by the name in his alternative list. Neither is the name of the square's intelligence.
Planetary angel in Agrippa's first list
Haniel
This is Agrippa's first list. He gives another list in the same chapter; neither list names the square intelligences.
