Deal a spread

Begin by typing the question, then choose the shape of reading that best fits it. The cards get dealt only after both are in place, so the reading answers what was asked before any card appeared.

Ask something

Quick Note: The question that you type stays in the reading's link. Anyone you send it to can see it.

What happens to what you type

The question and cards are kept in the address itself, not stored on the server. That makes the reading easy to keep or share, but the link also reveals the question to whoever receives it.

How it shuffles

10 riffle shuffles, 3 cuts and 2 turns of a packet, from SecureRandom, the operating system's cryptographic source., modelled on riffling a physical pack rather than on a random number per card. Bayer and Diaconis put the number of riffles a deck needs at about one-and-a-half times the base-two logarithm of its size, which is seven for fifty-two cards and ten for the tarot's seventy-eight.
